A.J. Tus

A native of Ivyland, Pennsylvania, A.J. Tus (B.S. ’14) made the most of living and learning in New York City as a student at the NYU Stern Undergraduate College.

Tus explored the city’s variety of restaurants, music and urban architecture, and through his internships, he took advantage of studying business in such close proximity to some of the world’s top firms. As an undergraduate, Tus interned at Brittany Capital Group, the Permal Group, and Credit Suisse. After graduation, he received a full-time offer from Credit Suisse, where he works as an investment banking analyst in the firm’s technology, media, and telecommunications practice in New York.

“The responsibility you’re given and the expectations you work hard to reach are both challenging and rewarding,” says Tus, who studied finance, economics and social entrepreneurship at Stern.”I learn something new every day I’m at work.”

As an undergraduate student, Tus served as the chairperson of the Investment Analysis Group (IAG), and on the Class of 2014 Legacy Committee. He was also part of the Stern Street Team, the Dean’s Student Task Force, the judiciary committee, and the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity.

“Stern taught me how to understand and appreciate the differences in language, culture, and perspective between myself and others,” says Tus, who traveled to Singapore through Stern’s International Studies Program. “Being part of a community as diverse as Stern’s is a unique opportunity.

“Get involved. The people you meet on campus will become both your best friends and your biggest resources, and the greatest lessons you take away from Stern are often the soft skills you learn from clubs and organizations on campus."
