Excel Workshops

Workshops are offered several times throughout the year to provide MBA students with additional skills using the popular MS Excel program.

Workshops currently offered:

Excel I: For PC and MAC
Excel II: For PC and MAC
Excel Financial Tools: For PC & MAC
Speed Excel: For PC

There is a limit of 70 seats for all workshops. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Excel I (for PC & Mac Users)

Cost: $50, which will be assessed to students' bursar bill after the workshop

The workshop covers Excel 2010 for Windows and Excel 2011 for Mac and makes reference to all previous versions of Excel. Students must bring a laptop with a mouse to the workshop.

Excel Financial Tools (for PC & Mac Users)

This is a hands-on workshop that will guide students to apply various analytic financial decision-making models and tools using Excel. Students will gain practical experience with Excel financial functions, modeling and capabilities.

Topics covered will include:

How financial functions workFinancial Modeling and how to apply it with What-If Sensitivity Analysis techniquesUsing the solver for capital investment budgeting decisionsMonte Carlo (risk analysis) simulations


Speed Excel (for PC Users)

Instructor: Albert Chen
Cost: $30, which will be assessed to students' bursar bill after the workshop

The main purpose of this workshop is to help students become faster in using the most commonly used Excel operations so more time can be spent on real analysis and strategy.
