Excel Workshops

Workshops are offered several times throughout the year to provide MBA students with additional skills using the popular MS Excel program.

Workshops currently offered:

Excel I: For PC and MAC
Excel II: For PC and MAC
Speed Excel: For PC and MAC

There is a limit of 70 seats for all workshops. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
Please note: You must cancel 48 hours in advance of the workshop date by contacting Academic Affairs and Advising (academicaffairs@stern.nyu.edu) in order to request a refund.

Excel I (for PC & Mac Users)

Instructor: Isaac Gottlieb
Cost: $50, which will be assessed to students' bursar bill after the workshop

The workshop takes a step-by-step and hands-on approach to using Excel in a business environment. It was designed based on the instructors own experience teaching Excel to over 20,000 students. It has been taught at a number of Universities and corporations, including Microsoft.

Students must bring a laptop with a mouse to the workshop.

Speed Excel (for PC & Mac Users)

Instructor: Albert Chen
Cost: $30, which will be assessed to students' bursar bill after the workshop

Albert worked at Google for 5+ years, first as a financial analyst and then as an ad sales account manager. He developed his expertise in Excel through his time as a financial analyst, building models and cost center reports. He left Google in 2012 to pursue other ventures, including KeyCuts, his Excel training company. Al has taught Speed Excel Training to employees at Google and students at other MBA programs.

The main purpose of this workshop is to help students become faster at using the most common Excel operations so more time can be spent on real analysis and strategy.
