NYU Stern

Each semester dual degree students need to confirm their school of "residency" (where they will be taking the majority of credits). At Stern, MBA Academic Affairs will contact you prior to the start of the lottery to confirm your intended school of residency for the upcoming semester. Later, after you have had the chance to lottery, MBA Academic Affairs will contact you for information regarding your credits both at Stern and your partner school.

Students registered at Stern:
You will lottery and add/drop for Stern classes using AIS. For classes taken in the partner School, you will work with your advisor at that School and register via Albert.  It is important to keep your Stern advisor informed of any and all schedule changes.

Dual Degree students will be permitted to take non-Stern courses for credit toward their MBA program. If you would like to take a non-Stern class and receive Stern credit, please review the policies and procedures surrounding Other NYU Division Courses. NOTE: There is a maximum number of credits students are permitted to take outside of Stern business classes. Please check with your advisor or in the FAQs to determine how many credits you may take at other NYU divisions.

Students registered at other schools:
For classes taken in the partner school program you will register via Albert. For Stern classes you will add/drop and lottery via AIS. The Stern Registrar will work to ensure that your record appropriate reflects your coursework at each school.

Access to AIS:
Once matriculated at Stern, all students will have access to AIS (the web-based Student Information System) until graduation which will allow students to lottery and add/drop Stern classes while registered at their partner school*. You will add classes to your schedule at the parnter school via Albert and add classes at Stern via AIS. Although we have automated this system for you, you should always inform your dual degree advisor of any changes made to your Stern schedule during the add/drop period.

*Please keep in mind that you will be billed for full tuition by both Stern and your partner school when using both online registration systems. Please refer to the Bursar section of the FAQs for more information about "double billing".
