After you register, it is your responsibility to check your Remaining Requirements to ensure that your status is recorded accurately and you know your graduation requirements.
You will have the opportunity to make your class choices during this period via the Web. If you do not have access to the Web at home, you can use the Stern computer labs or the Business Center, located in the lobby of KMC. For your convenience, terminals can also be found on the first, third, fourth and sixth floors of KMC.
We encourage students to submit selections early. While there is no advantage in submitting your selections earlier or later, we urge you not to wait until the last day. As long as you submit your requests via the Web on or before August 4 you will have an equal chance (within your cohort group) at all classes requested.
In the Lottery, we suggest listing your most valued elective(s) first. Then list the next in importance as number 2, etc.
On and after this date you will be able to make adjustments to your schedule in a real time setting (class availability changes as classes open and close).
Drop off or mail your Tuition & Fees Worksheet and payment to: Stern Bursar Office, 44 West 4th Street, Room 6-110, New York, New York 10012. (The form is available on-line at: http://www.stern.nyu.edu/bursar.) If you register for the first time for the Fall AFTER August 4 via the Web, your payment is due within 48 hours. However, if you register in-person at the Office of Records & Registration, your payment is due at that time.
You can register or make schedule adjustments via the Web or in-person during this period. Please be aware that if you are registering for the first time for the Fall via the Web, late fees are in effect and your payment is due within 48 hours. However, these fees do not apply to you if you made schedule adjustments and paid prior to August 4. (NOTE: if you register in-person at the Office of Records & Registration, late fees are in effect and your payment is due at that time.)
Students on academic holds will not be permitted to register until the reason for the hold is resolved. Please contact the Academic Advising Office if you have a hold and have questions (e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 212-998-0585).
The Lottery system allows you to lottery for up to 15 credits for MBA2 students. If you want to take on additional coursework (up to 18 credits), you must be approved for a credit overload by MBA Academic Affairs.
Registration will not be finalized for students who have not complied with the immunity law.
Second-year students will automatically have the required Professional Responsibility course section assigned and entered into the registration lottery. Students may rank this section as their last priority but they may not drop it.
Any change in the schedule or the assigned instructor will be updated on the course schedule in real-time. Students who have registered for a class in which there is a time or instructor change will be notified by email.
