About R. Scot Perlin

R. Scot Perlin is Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Winfield Capital Corp. Winfield Capital is a publicly-held small business investment company that makes equity investments and loans pursuant to funding programs sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

He was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Meridien Corporation, where he directed the foreign exchange and money market activities of the London dealing room, provided supervision of budgeting and accounting statement consolidations and chaired the New York Management Committee. Scot began his career as an international lending officer for Bankers Trust Company in New York. He then joined American International Group ("AIG") where he spent nearly 10 years in a number of senior management positions, including Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for American International Underwriters (an AIG subsidiary), Treasurer of AIG Capital Corp. and Assistant Treasurer of the parent company. As Assistant Treasurer, Scot led a team that managed AIG's money market portfolios, short-term debt issuance, interest rate/currency hedging and proprietary trading activities. He left AIG to join Yamaichi International (America), Inc. as Senior Vice President, where he started and headed both the firm's Capital Markets Arbitrage and Securities Lending Departments. His responsibilities included proprietary and client discretionary portfolios, global securities lending and dividend capture programs.

Scot earned his BA Degree with Honors from Brandeis University. He then received an MA Degree with Distinction from The Johns Hopkins University Nitze School of Advanced International Studies and a MBA Degree from New York University. He was also awarded a Ford Foundation Fellowship at Cornell University where he studied political science at the graduate level.
