MBA Students Take "Doing Business in… Hong Kong" Course

In January of 2014, a group of MBA students traveled to China for the Spring 2014 "Doing Business in... Hong Kong" course. Students attended lectures on Chinese markets and multinational corporations, current political issues and the global positioning of China's economy, as well as corporate visits to Ocean Park and Cathay Pacific Airways. They even enjoyed an afternoon lesson in kung fu.

"DBi Hong Kong was a unique, educational experience, which taught us about the Chinese business environment both in the classroom and through cultural events," explained MBA student Lauren Tierney. "The lectures and corporate visits illustrated the operational and competitive issues faced by multinational corporations expanding into Asia. As China, in particular, continues to become a leading world economy, this knowledge and firsthand experience will be an important element in my overall business education."
