Biography

Igor Vaysman joined New York University Stern School of Business as a Visiting Professor of Accounting in September 2011. He teaches Managerial Accounting.

Professor Vaysman’s research focuses on designing information systems to support managerial decisions, and on providing incentives to managers to maximize shareholder value. His research is published in top accounting journals, including the Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics and Review of Accounting Studies.

Prior to coming to NYU Stern, Professor Vaysman taught undergraduates, MBA students and executives at the University of California, Berkeley; University of Texas at Austin; University of Chicago Booth School of Business; INSEAD; and City University of New York’s Zicklin School of Business.

Professor Vaysman received a B.S. in Business and Economics from Trinity University and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
