The Department of Information, Operations, and Management Sciences was created in September 2001 as a merger of three of Stern's distinguished faculty groups: the Department of Information Systems, the Department of Operations Management, and the Department of Statistics and Operations Research.
The new department combines the considerable existing strengths and capabilities of its three constituent departments, and in addition, capitalizes on some of the significant synergies among these groups.

Our Research Seminar Series appear under Events, with lists of speakers, their topics and seminar dates. Prospective doctoral students should go to the Academic Programs page and click on each discipline where you will find the Group's doctoral program site. Students interested in the undergraduate and MBA programs, go to Academic Programs for course descriptions and program requirements, and to the Student Activities and Jobs page for information on clubs and their programs; jobs for MBA students are listed in the same pages.
