Apps

Stern MBA's, undergraduate students and faculty will have the ability to access Stern software from anywhere using the Apps service. The Apps service delivers course software and Stern-licensed applications to students, faculty and administrators from anywhere with an Internet connection. Students will no longer need to visit Stern computers to complete an assignment that requires specialized software. This new service increases the usability and convenience of Stern’s specialty software offerings.

To access Apps:

1. Navigate to https://apps.stern.nyu.edu.

2. If you have not used Apps before, click the link under Message Center to download and install the appropriate software for your computer.

3. Restart your browser and return to https://apps.stern.nyu.edu.

4. Login to Apps with your regular Stern NetID and password.

5. After signing into Apps, click on the relevant icon to run the desired software on your own computer or laptop.

Note: The save dialogue box sometimes takes a few seconds to fully load. Save work to your local machine or to a network drive to which you have access. Remember that files created with an application from Apps will be saved in that application's file format. If you do not have the application installed on your local machine, you will need to login to Apps in order to open the saved file.
