MacMail Set-up for Stern Account

Objective: To set-up your Stern account in MacMail.

1. Click the MacMail icon. You will see an initial screen similar to the one below. Click Continue.

2. On the next screen, use the drop-down arrow on the first box to change the account type to IMAP. Complete the remaining boxes with your full name and your Stern email address as shown below. Click Continue when finished.

3. For the incoming mail server, enter connect-imap.stern.nyu.edu. Enter your UserName (NetID) and Password in the following fields. When finished, click Continue.

4. For the outgoing mail server, enter smtp.stern.nyu.edu. Check on the Use Authentication options and enter your Stern UserName (NetID) and password. When finished, click Continue.

5. Next, you will see a summary screen similar to the one below. Click Continue.

6. Finally, you will see a conclusion screen similar to the one below. Click Done and you will be taken to your MacMail inbox, now set-up with your Stern account.
