Bloomberg Terminals
There are several Bloomberg Financial terminals available
for Stern Student use. The terminals can be found in the following locations:
MBA Terminals:
- 2nd Floor Bloomberg Room (inside the Nyman Family Reading Room)
- 2 terminals
Undergraduate Terminal:
- L-101 Computer Lab - 2 terminals
The Bloomberg terminals are exclusively dedicated to Bloomberg
use. Standard programs (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.) and the H: Drive are not available from the Bloomberg terminals which are to be used for Bloomberg
research only.
Logging into the Bloomberg Stations
- Students must first log into the Bloomberg Station with their standard
Stern Login (NetID) and Password.
- Once the student has logged into the station, the Bloomberg software
will launch automatically.
- Once Bloomberg has launched, hit the red "Default" key to login to
Bloomberg.
- The Bloomberg Login ID and password are located on a sticker on the
Bloomberg Station monitor's lower left hand corner.
- Type the Bloomberg Login ID and Password found on the monitor (in
the form "sternmba#" and "mba#" or "sternugrad#" and "ugrad#") into
into the boxes that come up in the upper left hand corner of the Bloomberg
Software after pressing the red "Default" key.
- Student can now begin using Bloomberg.

Getting Bloomberg Help
- For problems with the terminal itself (i.e. won't turn on, can't login,
etc.) please contact the Stern Help Desk at 998-0180 or remarks@stern.nyu.edu.
- For Bloomberg help, press the Help key for general Help. For command
specific help, type any command and then press the "help" key for help
with that command.
- To contact the Bloomberg Help Desk, press the HELP key twice, a box
will appear in which you may type a message. Type your message or question
and be sure to include an email address or cell phone number for the
Bloomberg Help Desk to contact you.
Printing
- Printing is possible from the Bloomberg stations. Press the Print
Screen button to print the current screen contents.
- Right clicking with the mouse will bring up an option for "Print
Setup." Within this option students may choose the printer they wish
to send their Bloomberg print job to.
- The 2nd floor MBA Bloomberg stations are attached to a network printer
in the same room.
- The Undergrad Bloomberg terminals are attached to the lab printers.
Bloomberg Tutorial Videos
Bloomberg representatives visited the Stern School
of Business to deliver brief orientations to the Bloomberg system for
Stern Students. Below are links to the video tapes of these events. Please
note: you must have Realplayer installed in order to view these video
