|
Manage the files on your H: drive through
the web with the NetStorage application. The NetStorage web page displays
the network files and folders currently accessible to you, allowing
you to upload and download files onto your H: drive from any internet
browser.
File Transfer
To get started, go to http://netstorage.stern.nyu.edu and login with your Stern NetID and password.
In the default Folder View, select your H: drive folder
from the left column and its contents will be displayed in the main
panel.

Uploading Files to Server
To
Upload files to your H drive, click File and select Upload from the drop-down menu.
*If you are prompted to unblock pop-ups in order to proceed, in Mozilla:
go to Tools > Options and select Web Features from the left frame. Under "Block Popup Windows "click the
Add Sites button, enter "netstorage.stern.nyu.edu"
and click OK. For Internet Explorer, click
here for instructions on how to unblock popups from a site.
After the Upload File window appears, click Browse
to locate your file. You can upload multiple files or folders by clicking
the plus (+) button and entering or selecting additional files or folders
as shown below.

to it while you have it open. You must save the file locally. When you
are finished making changes, upload the file back to the server to the
same location it was downloaded from.
Mail: Select the file you want to mail, then click Mail.
Properties: To view attributes, select the folder
