Windows XP Service Pack 2: Allowing Trusted Sites
When Service Pack 2's Pop-up Blocker is enabled, you will not be able
to view certain web pages that require pop-up windows, such as when
you are checking your email from NYUHome.
This guide will explain how to add sites to Internet Explorer's Trusted Sites list, thereby allowing you to open pop-up windows from specific sites.
(To find out how to enable the Pop-up Blocker for Internet Explorer,
please see the SP2 Pop-up Blocker How-to-Guide.)
1. After the Pop-up Blocker is enabled, open Internet Explorer
and select Internet Options in the Tools menu.
2. Under the Security tab, click the Trusted
Sites icon shown here.
3. To add sites, click the Sites button and
the window below will appear.
4. Simply type in the site's url where it says "Add this
website to the zone" and click Add.
You must add http://connect.stern.nyu.edu and http://www.stern.nyu.edu and http://www.nyu.edu to be able to properly view Stern web pages, email messages, and
download attachments.
5. Click OK. You're done! |
