Web Usage Policy

As a member of the Stern community (faculty, administrators, and students), you are given a limited amount of personal webspace on the school's Web server. (For information on how to access this space, please see the guide.)

The terms of usage for your web accounts are as follows:

  • No advertising
  • No storage of mp3 files
  • No pornography
  • No profit-generating activity
  • No installation of unauthorized or illegal web server software. Anyone who wishes to run a web server must first get approval from the Information Technology Department.
  • No malicious programs

Any violations of the above will lead to your account being revoked. Illegal and/or malicious files and/or programs will be deleted.
