Shelter Chic Shelter Chic
Shelter Chic is an animal shelter, which uses profits from its affiliated retail boutique to fund its rescue mission and help place animals in adoptive homes. Stern students Diana Miller, Michelle Reiser, Sreya Roy and Kevin Savitskie helped this relatively new organization develop process documentation for fostering and volunteering, formalize their foster and volunteer network and set up partnerships with outside organizations for increased revenue and donations.

“This class gave us hands-on experience with complicated business problems that non-profit organizations across the country face,” said MBA student Diana Miller. “What we are learning here at Stern is applicable in a variety of ways that can make an impact on organizations that contribute so much value in the world.”
