Women Rising is a workforce development, counseling center and advocacy group for women affected by domestic violence or substance abuse in and around Jersey City. Stern students Joshua Clemente-Schiller, Lauren Czirr, Sara Feierstein and Nazanin Roudiani worked with the group’s management team to bolster its marketing efforts to grow its donor network and volunteer base. They also enhanced operational processes by developing a digitized data entry and client follow-up system as well as new forms to capture demographic data that may be leveraged to qualify for new funding sources and grants.
“Seeing the organization adopt our recommendations was an incredibly meaningful part of the work we did,” said MBA student Sara Feierstein. “Seeing change happening in real time solidified our sense of having helped to make a difference for the better within Women Rising.”
