The
question of how and why regions of innovation and entrepreneurial
activity emerge and develop continues to be important. This
study explores the roles that entrepreneurs and other key
actors play in creating and maintaining legitimacy for their
region and their own firms. The relationship between legitimacy
creation and subsequent access to financial capital is explored.
