Doctoral Program

Admissions

Admission into the program is highly competitive. Each year we receive hundreds of applications for approximately three or four new students. At any time, we have around 15 to 20 students in the program total. The desired prerequisites for admission to doctoral study are (1) basic accounting, (2) differential and integral calculus, (3) linear (matrix) algebra, (4) basic micro and macro economics, and (5) either basic psychology or basic sociology. A student is expected to fulfill the requirements in basic economics, calculus and matrix algebra before taking any doctoral courses.
