TERRY KEENAN, CNNfn ANCHOR, STREET SWEEP: A federal judge today issuing an injunction ordering Napster to eliminate all copyright materials in its system. The file-sharing service has 72 hours to comply. Our Steve Young has been following the story, and he joins us now with the latest. Steve, so is it finally over?

STEVE YOUNG, CNNfn CORRESPONDENT: Well, it`s not over until it`s over. It could be as quick as three days. Judge Patel (ph) was told by an Appellate court to refine and make clearer her order. She says that the music industry, Terry, has to give a list to Napster of the files. Clearly, Napster is a little bit flat footed, we`re looking at its web site right now, and it does not take note of any of this. If we make that go away, you can see that there`s a whole list of music files still there. Some people were saying right after this had been issued that in a sense it gave Napster a little breathing room, because it puts some burden on the music industry to provide a list of variations in name, which is how some of the users are getting around this. But an NYU business school expert says he thinks there`s a greater burden on the company.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

NICHOLAS ECONOMIDES , NYU STERN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS: I think, practically speaking, the greater burden is on Napster, because the music industry can easily find all of the variations and list them down on a piece of paper, but it`s up to Napster to go hunt them down and find them, and find them in all sites.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

YOUNG: Now, that said, it wasn`t very hard for us to find people working around the prohibitions until now. Napster had been trying to block sort of an preemptive move. We saw a 17-year-old Danny Ganst today out in Forest Hills, New York, downloading easily Metallica and Dr. Dre`s demonstration for us. And he says --- there`s Danny --- that this is not going to go away. That if they shut down Napster, people will move on to Nettlea, or Aimster or something else. Terry?

KEENAN: Danny had a snow day? Is that why he wasn`t in school? Or you are just a bad influence?

YOUNG: I`m not sure. Our producer, Mara Wilcox was out there with Danny. We`ll find out.

KEENAN: OK, you get on it. Thanks, Steve. Steve Young.
