PLEASE NOTE:

  1. Payment is due with your registration on or before January 9, 2013.
  2. Registration and service fees are non-refundable starting the third week of the term, February 24, 2013.
  3. Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, and traveler's check (make payable to New York University). Late Payments will incur an interest rate of 1% per calendar month, or any part thereof, (12% per annum) in addition to a $100 late payment fee.  If the University refers any unpaid accounts for collection, you will be held responsible for all associated charges including attorney's fees of up to one third of the balance, to the full extent permitted by law.
  4. Students registering for 6 credits or more are eligible to use the 50/50 Payment Plan. Students using the Payment Plan must submit the agreement form along with payment. The first payment is due with your registration. The second tuition payment is payable in full on March 1, 2013. Late Payments will incur an interest rate of 1% per calendar month, or any part thereof, (12% per annum) in addition to a $100 late payment fee.
  5. The effective date of any drop or withdrawal is the date the student completed the request on-line, in person (add/drop form done at the Office of Records & Registration) by fax (date on fax) or by mail (postmark date). Please refer to the Tuition Refund Schedule to determine the refund you will receive.
  6. All students with the following visa (F1, J1, J3, OJ, OF, AF, AJ) will be charged a $90.00 international student visa fee.

Health Insurance (International Students) Mandatory Health Insurance Fee ($3,354 per annum) for international students with F-1, J-1 or similar visas, who do not provide documentation of other health insurance coverage, payable upon registration. $2,059.00
Health Insurance (Domestic Students) Mandatory Basic Health Insurance Fee ($2,150 per annum) for Full time domestic students registered for 12 or more credits, who do not provide documentation of other health insurance coverage, payable upon registration. $1,320.00
Late Payment Interest Any late tuition payments will result in a penalty charge of 12% interest per annum (1% per calendar month or any part thereof) on the unpaid balance, in addition to applicable late fees.  
Late Payment Fee Will be charged if payment was not received by stated payment deadlines. $100.00

Maintaining
Matriculation
Students must apply for a leave of absence from an academic advisor and pay this fee to maintain matriculation in any Fall or Spring semester in which they drop or withdraw from all classes. (Ph.D. students must receive approval from the Doctoral Office.) Students are not required to maintain matriculation in the Summer semester. $400.00

On or after February 11, 2013 in addition the Late Registration Fee and Late Payment Fee, an interest rate of 1% per calendar month or any part thereof (12% annum) will be charged on the total tuition and registration fees for the period starting from the first day of the term, February 11, 2013 until paid in full.
