Harvey Beker Scholarship
The Harvey Beker Scholarship program was established in 2005 by Harvey Beker, MBA 1975. For Fall 2013, Beker scholarships in the amount of $10,000 will be awarded to three first-year, full-time MBA students.The Harvey Beker Scholarship program intends to foster an interest in philanthropy and create a group of like-minded Stern alumni who understand the importance of giving back to the School. Within five years of graduation, the Beker Scholars ideally will begin to share their success and start giving back to Stern. Thus, they will enable future students to excel and succeed.
All incoming first-year admitted students are invited to apply for the scholarship. The application consists of an essay and one page resume. The essay should be no longer than two pages, double-spaced, and should answer the following questions:
- Why would you like to be considered for the scholarship?
- How have you helped others succeed through your contributions?
- How do you intend to contribute to Stern as an alumnus/a?
- How will you enable future students to excel at Stern?
