Applying to NYU Stern Executive Education

How do I register for a program?

Complete the online application available on each program's page of the Executive Education website. For additional questions, please feel free to contact our program specialists.

What is included in the Short Courses fee?

The program fee includes tuition, all program materials and catering (breakfast, lunch and snacks). Accommodation is not included in the fee.

What is your payment policy for Short Courses?

Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Your enrollment and space in the program is confirmed only after payment has been received. Payment can be made by check or credit card. If you are making payment from abroad, we can accept electronic wire transfers. Please contact the Executive Education office for instructions.

When is payment due?

Payment is due upon receipt of invoice and must be received prior to the program date.

What is the Short Courses cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be sent in writing to NYU Stern Executive Education at 44 West 4th St, Suite 4-100, New York, NY 10012. Cancellations received at least 30 days prior to the program's start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between 30 and 15 days prior to the program's start date will receive a full refund, minus a fee equal to 20% of the full program tuition. Cancellations received between 14 and 7 days prior to the program's start date will receive a full refund minus a fee equal to 50% of the full program tuition. Cancellations received between 0 to 6 days prior to the program's start date will not receive any refund.

Can I transfer my payment and registration to a future program?

One transfer to a subsequent program of equal or lesser value will be permitted within 12 months of the original program's start date, provided that there are seats available in the requested program. Transfer requests received at least 14 days prior to the original program's start date will be accepted without charge. Transfer requests received between 14 and 8 days prior to the original program's start date will be subject to a fee equal to 20% of the full program tuition. Transfer requests received between 7 and 2 days prior to the original program's start date will be subject to a fee equal to 50% of the full program tuition. Transfers will not be granted with less than 48 hours notice prior to the original program's start date.

Are there any tuition discounts?

Yes. When you register for more than one Short Course on the same application form, you will receive a 15% discount on each additional program. For example, if you apply for the Finance and Accounting for Non-Finance Executives program and indicate on the application form that you would also like to register for the Leadership Training for High Potentials program, you will receive a 15% discount on the registration fee for the Leadership Training for High Potentials program. All multiple program discount registrations must be received on the same application form and paid for at the same time in one payment. If the multiple programs are of different lengths, the discount will be applied to the shorter program(s).

Do you offer any professional credit for your programs?

The NYU Stern School of Business is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards and boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual programs. In accordance with NASBA guidelines, all of our programs have a group-live instructional method. If you require CPE credits, please contact a course consultant who can tell you the number of credits for each program. In addition, some programs offer CME, CLE, or CNE credits, when appropriate. About the Programs

Where are NYU Stern's Executive Education programs held?

All of our Short Courses are delivered in a business school environment in the heart of NYC at the NYU Stern campus in Greenwich Village. Programs are held in our modern classrooms in the Kaufman Management Center located at 44 West Fourth Street. We are equipped to deliver custom programs at our campus or a global location of our client's choice.

When are NYU Stern Executive Education programs held?

All of our Short Courses are held Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Breakfast will be available each day at 8:30am. Classes start promptly at 9am and end at 5pm daily. A special Networking Reception is held on the first day from 5pm to 6pm.

Will I receive any pre-reading materials prior to the program?

Approximately 3-4 weeks before the program start date we will ship a UPS package to your preferred mailing address. The advance packet will contain pre-reading materials and logistical information. Please read through these materials prior to the start of the program. The cases and articles in the program packet will help enrich the in-class discussions.

Are there any distance learning opportunities available for executives?

All NYU Stern Executive Education Short Courses are held on campus. None of our programs are currently available in a distance-learning or e-learning format.

Does NYU Stern offer a degree program for any of the courses taught at Executive Education?

Yes, in fact, we offer several Global Degree Programs that fall in line with various topics taught through Executive Education short courses.

TRIUM Global Executive MBA
The TRIUM program is a 17-month global executive MBA program designed specifically for full-time working senior executives’ schedules and utilizes a Blended-Learning Model. In total, there are 500 live classroom hours and an average of 15-20 hours per week of web-based distance learning. Executives are away from their offices for only ten weeks during the program.

Master of Science in Risk Management for Executives
The Master of Science in Risk Management Program for Executives is a 12-month program with five modules rotating between New York, Europe, and Asia. It is designed for maximum efficiency recognizing participant’s busy schedules. Participants live and work in their home countries and attend five concentrated, rigorous educational sessions in three different learning locations over a one-year period.

Master of Science in Business Analytics
The Master of Science in Business Analytics program is a 12-month program divided into five modules, rotating between New York and Shanghai. The program is designed specifically for full-time working senior executives’ schedules and utilizes a Blended Learning Model. In total, there is an average of 15-20 hours per week of web-based distance learning. Executives are away from their offices for less than six weeks during the program.

Master of Science in Global Finance
The Master of Science in Global Finance program is a 12-month program that is divided into 10 modules – 5 in Hong Kong, 4 in New York, and 1 in Beijing. The program offers interested professionals the opportunity to advance their knowledge and practices under the guidance of internationally recognized academics. The program is also designed with busy schedules in mind, with classes mostly held once a month on weekends.

What if I have special dietary restrictions?

For our programs, vegetarian options are available during all meals and breaks. Please contact us if you have any specific dietary requirements.

What is the recommended attire?

Business casual attire is appropriate during all NYU Stern Executive Education programs. We recommend dressing in layers to accommodate temperature variances in the classrooms and common areas.

How can I stay in contact with other participants?

All Short Courses participants will receive a participant list during their program and we encourage participants to join our Alumni of NYU Stern Executive Education LinkedIn network.
