It is the applicant’s responsibility to update NYU Stern immediately with any new contact information. Failure to update contact information may result in applicants missing important communications from the University, which could jeopardize applicants’ admission and/or place in the class. If your contact information needs to be updated, please email email@example.com.
International Student Visa Status
The NYU Stern Executive MBA program is considered part-time study. Part-time study does not provide student visa eligibility. Applicants are responsible for determining whether they have the necessary visa status to apply to and participate in the duration of the 22 month Executive MBA program. Without an appropriate visa status, formal applications to the program may be considered ineligible for review by the Admissions Committee.
The application fee is non-refundable and may not be used toward future applications to NYU Stern or other NYU programs.
Military Application Fee Waiver
Members of the U.S. military and U.S. military veterans who have served on active duty are eligible for an application fee waiver. Email your request for a fee waiver to firstname.lastname@example.org and include documentation of service. You will receive an email confirmation of your application fee waiver within 5 business days of submission. Please do not submit your formal application until you receive this confirmation from our office.
Statement of Certification
Before submitting an application, all applicants are required to read and electronically sign the Statement of Certification. NYU Stern reserves the right to contact appropriate sources to ensure the accuracy of all the information you have provided. Additionally, NYU Stern may validate the accuracy of application information with the appropriate sources. You must promptly inform NYU Stern if any information changes.
NYU Stern may revoke your admission if we learn that you have misrepresented and/or omitted information during or after the admissions process, or that you have engaged in behavior showing a serious lack of judgment or integrity prior to or after admission. If your admission is revoked, you will not be eligible to re-apply to any NYU Stern MBA program. Any items submitted to NYU Stern in conjunction with your application become the sole property of NYU Stern and will not be returned, duplicated, or transferred.
Mastery of the English Language
During the in-person interview, as well as through the formal application, we will assess the English language proficiency level of applicants for whom English is a second language.
NYU Stern does not accept transfer credits.
Applying to Other NYU Stern MBA Programs
You may only apply to one NYU Stern MBA program per start term (Full-time, Part-time, Executive or TRIUM Executive). If not admitted, you may apply to any NYU Stern MBA program for any subsequent admissions cycle.
Dual Degree Programs
Executive MBA students cannot pursue dual degree programs.
Additional Submissions by Waitlisted Applicants
Waitlisted applicants are welcome to submit additional materials for the Admissions Committee’s review. However, the Admissions Committee reserves the right to make final decisions on waitlisted applications prior to receiving additional information. Materials received after a final decision will not affect that decision.
If admitted, a $5,000 non-refundable enrollment deposit is required to hold your place the program. The enrollment deposit is not refundable under any circumstances.
In rare cases, in which unexpected personal or professional circumstances prevent you from beginning the program on the intended date, you may submit a request to the Executive MBA Admissions Committee to defer your enrollment for up to one year. The Admissions Committee reviews deferral requests on a case-by-case basis and approval is not guaranteed.
Changing Status after Enrollment
NYU Stern does not permit students to switch from the Executive MBA program to either the Full-time or the Part-time programs after enrollment in the Executive MBA program. Please carefully consider which program is best suited to your goals prior to applying.
NYU Stern may verify applicant records and other reported data to maintain the strict standards and honor code of the NYU Stern School of Business. If NYU Stern requests verification, you may be responsible for the fee for this service.
Once enrolled in the program, Executive MBA students begin working with the Student Services team. The Student Services team guides students through their 22 months in the program, acting as the main point of contact for all things program related. Students hear from the Student Services team directly via email about pre-program preparations.
Mandatory Executive MBA Orientation
Attendance is required at the Executive MBA orientation and week-long domestic residency. Once enrolled, you will receive detailed information about orientation and the residency week from the Student Services team.
The NYU Stern Executive MBA administration will determine if you are eligible for accommodations, regardless of what you indicate in the application. Applicants living more than 40 miles from campus are eligible for a one-night hotel accommodation per class weekend (Friday), and applicants living more than 80 miles from campus are eligible for a two-night hotel accommodation per class weekend (Thursday and Friday).
