Executive MBA Networking Event in Moscow

Stern’s January 2010 class of Executive MBA students recently returned from its first global study tour to Eastern Europe (Russia and Poland), where they had the opportunity to attend a networking event in Moscow with EMBA students from Wharton. The event took place in September at the upscale "City Space Bar & Lounge" on the thirty-fourth floor at the Swisshotel, and included more than twenty-five students from the two programs. Students from both NYU Stern and Wharton enjoyed the opportunity to network and learn about each others’ experiences, both internationally on their international residencies and as executive MBA students in the U.S. Stern students shared experiences from their meetings with business executives from companies such as Dell, Nestle Waters, and Dow Chemical in Poland and Russia, while also learning about different companies visited by students from Wharton.

Students from both programs discussed some of the similarities and differences in each of the Executive MBA programs and exchanged business cards and email addresses to stay in touch. Several NYU Stern Executive MBA students noted that given the current economic climate, it has been helpful to participate in networking events with both students and alumni from Stern (over 75,000 Stern graduates) as well as with students at other top Executive MBA programs.
