Stern provides a welcoming community for LGBT students

New York City has always been on the forefront of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights and issues. Like the City, Stern welcomes and embraces the diversity of our community.

About OutClass - Stern's LGBT community club

OutClass serves as a professional, educational and social forum for LGBT students and hosts a number of student events each year:
  • Corporate dinners and recruiting events with preeminent firms
  • Alumni career panels and networking events
  • Cocktail socials with other top business schools
  • Workshops on timely issues of concern to LGBT students

Engage with current students

OutClass welcomes inquiries from prospective students. Questions may be emailed to outclass@stern.nyu.edu. In addition, OutClass and MBA Admissions co-host an on-campus brunch reception for prospective students each fall. This year's event was held on Saturday, October 1, and featured a panel discussion and networking opportunities with current students and alumni.

Reaching Out Conference

Each year, Stern students attend the Reaching Out MBA Conference, an annual gathering of LGBT graduate business school students from all over the world. The conference provides a forum to build personal and professional networks.

Scholarship Spotlight: The Point Foundation

The Point Foundation scholarship is available to LGBT students and applicants who have taken on leadership roles in the LGBT community. It is open to all students matriculated in an accredited university in the U.S. The size of the scholarship depends on the number of scholars selected and the foundation's fund availability.
