Admissions Overview

The admissions process is thorough and selective but also highly attentive to your holistic candidacy and the qualities that you will bring to the MSRM cohort. Because the program is designed specifically for experienced and high-potential professionals in the risk management arena, a candidate's record of professional achievement is the most critical factor in determining admission.

Admissions Criteria

To apply to the MS in Risk Management program you must have a bachelor’s degree and strong grade point average (GPA), with a minimum of five years of full-time, professional work experience, demonstrated interest or experience in the field of risk management, and experience with quantitative analysis.

Rolling Admissions

MSRM applications are reviewed and decisions are released year-round until the class is full, at which point we start a wait list. As the class does fill, it is in your best interest to submit your application as soon as possible, because admittance becomes more competitive throughout the admissions cycle. The MSRM Program commences each May with the next class starting in May 2014.

After an application is submitted online, applicants who are short-listed move to a selection interview with a member of the Admissions Committee. After all application materials are collected, a decision is released. On average, a decision is released within two weeks of a completed application.
