Welcome
At NYU Stern, I wear multiple hats: I'm a chaired professor of economics conducting research to further the field, a teacher of our MBA students, and the Dean of the School. I believe that knowledge creation and knowledge dissemination go hand in hand, and I am in the ideal position to engage in both pursuits. I work with a community of research colleagues, with Stern students and with the wonderful Stern alumni whom I meet all over the world.
In my leisure time, you will find me rooting for the Boston Red Sox (my one un-New York indulgence), although you can also find me at a New York Mets or Yankees game, too, golfing, skiing, racing cars, attending a performance at the Metropolitan Opera or enjoying an evening at the theater.

Office hours
Thomas Cooley's office hours are held Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., travel schedule permitting.
