Aparna Vagvala spoke on a panel at UN Women's [HeForShe Universities Webinar](https://www.heforshe.org/en/join-global-heforshe-universities-webinar-advance-gender-equality-higher-education). The conversation was focused on how universities can help translate academic learning into real world impact, with attendees from universities around the world. Aparna's team had worked on a project that focused on countering online misogyny and the "manosphere", and their report really took off.

The panel explored how these engagements can translate academic learning into real-world impact. From the power of peer-to-peer accountability in driving change on campus to the professional pathways that emerge through collaboration. It also highlighted how student-led initiatives can evolve into sustained organizations advancing gender equality.

Together, these reflections underscore the role of universities as powerful spaces for leadership, learning, and progress on gender equality.
