Executive in Residence
The Center for Global Economy and Business has initiated a new Executive-in-Residence program. The aim is to integrate distinguished global business and policy leaders into the activities of the Stern School of Business in a sustainable way.

Richard Berner became the Center’s first Executive-in-Residence at the start of 2018. In this capacity, he will conduct research, give talks, organize public programs of interest to Stern and the broader community, and help to advance Stern’s financial stability initiatives. He also is teaching a graduate course in Financial Stability and Risk Management.

Prior to joining Stern, Berner served as the Director of the Office of Financial Research (OFR) from 2013 to 2017. The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 established the OFR to support the Financial Stability Oversight Council, the Council’s member organizations, and the public. The OFR’s mission is to promote financial stability by delivering high-quality financial data, standards, and analysis.
