# Dean Peter Henry and Prof. Laura Veldkamp Participate in Jackson Hole’s Annual Economic Policy Symposium

Dean [Peter Henry](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/peter-henry) served as chair on the opening day of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s annual [Economic Policy Symposium](https://www.kansascityfed.org/publications/research/escp) in Jackson Hole, Wyoming August 25-27.

Professor [Laura Veldkamp](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/laura-veldkamp) also participated as a discussant, leading the conversation on “The Structure of Central Bank Balance Sheets.”

The 2016 Symposium, “[Designing Resilient Monetary Policy Frameworks for the Future](https://www.kansascityfed.org/publications/research/escp/symposiums/escp-2016),” brought together central bankers, finance ministers, academics and media from around the world, including Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, to discuss today’s pressing economic issues, implications and policy options. ## Related Media Coverage
