MBA Students Take “Doing Business in…” Courses
—
MBA students recently traveled around the world to Argentina, China, Colombia and Turkey for the Spring 2015 “Doing Business in (DBi)” courses. Students attended lectures at local universities, studying topics ranging from the local economy and financial markets to historical legacy, entrepreneurship and foreign investment practices. They attended corporate visits with representatives from organizations such as Accenture, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Hyundai, and engaged in panel discussions with heads of global industries, including CitiBank, Cisco and Google.
“The business world of today is increasingly globalized and interconnected, and it is becoming difficult for companies to operate in domestic silos. DBis are a signature experience at Stern in that they really bring to life what you learn in the classroom,” reflected MBA student Jennifer McInnis.
