# MBA Students Take "Doing Business in… Italy" Course

1 March 16, 2014 In March of 2014, a group of MBA students traveled to Milan for the Spring 2014 "Doing Business in... Italy" course. >

"DBi Italy was a one-in-a-lifetime experience to get behind the scenes of the luxury retail industry," said MBA student Thomas Treanor. "We had firsthand access to the Italian silk manufacturing industry and to executives at some of the highest-end fashion houses; all this and investing two days in surveying the flagship retail outfits of Milan. Not only did we learn the ins and outs of what it takes to create a brand and successfully market it -- be it luxury clothes, handbags, accessories or even cars -- but we also learned about the target 'lifestyle' that the entire industry hinges on." ###  View More "Doing Business in..."
