MBA Students Take “Doing Business in… Italy” Course

In March, a group of MBA students traveled to Milan for the “Doing Business in (DBi) Italy” course. Students attended lectures at SDA Bocconi School of Management on the luxury and fashion industries as well as brand evolution and communication. They also had the opportunity to participate in corporate visits at the Mantero Silk Factory, Versace and La Perla.

“In just one week, DBi Italy provided an immersive experience with engaged faculty, a broad yet focused curriculum, and hands-on opportunities to explore luxury and fashion at the corporate and consumer level,” said MBA student Jumi Falusi. “The faculty, Professors Stefania Saviolo and Erica Corbellini, were extremely knowledgeable and engaged students one-on-one with course content. The course format was truly accessible for all MBA specializations.”

MBA student Abhilasha Prasad continued, “Defining all of the tools that are necessary to manage luxury stores – from the analysis of location and design concept, to customer relationship management – DBi Italy covered everything that we need to know to enter, expand, understand and succeed in the world of luxury retail.”
