# Panelists Discuss Derivative and Proprietary Trading Rules at NASDAQ OMX Derivatives Project

Panelists discussed how new rules around derivatives and proprietary trading will affect firms and financial markets. Nobel Laureate [Robert Engle](http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/robert-engle) participated in the first panel discussion, "Setting the Stage for Regulatory Reform," and Professor [Charles Murphy](http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/charles-murphy) chaired the second panel, "The Devil is in the Details."
