# JOIM-NYU Stern Conference on AI and Finance

On Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15, NYU Stern's [Department of Technology, Operations and Statistics](https://www.stern.nyu.edu/experience-stern/about/departments-centers-initiatives/academic-departments/ioms-dept) will co-host the JOIM-NYU Stern Conference on AI and Finance.

The latest quantitative and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques will be explored in Finance. Day 1 will focus on AI and day 2 will focus on retirement investing. This will highlight developments in such areas as goal investing, robo investing and the potential of big data and AI as a basis for cutting edge approaches to systematic investing and to investing for retirement. Both the academic and practitioner perspectives will be covered. This event is co-sponsored by NYU Stern's Department of Technology, Operations and Statistics and BlackRock.
