# Stern’s Annual Conference on Social Entrepreneurship Turns 10!

The largest academic conference of its kind in terms of research paper submissions, NYU Stern’s Tenth Annual Conference on Social Entrepreneurship, organized by the School’s [Business & Society Program](/experience-stern/about/departments-centers-initiatives/academic-departments/business-society-program) and the [Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation](/experience-stern/about/departments-centers-initiatives/centers-of-research/berkley-center), convened scholars, practitioners and students from around the world to explore topics in social enterprise, innovation, sustainability and impact.

This year's three-day conference was dedicated to the ongoing development of theory and research on social entrepreneurship and its impact on global communities. Themes included:- Social entrepreneurship process involving opportunity recognition and evaluation
- Organizational forms of social enterprises
- Challenges of scaling and measuring social impact
- Emerging themes in social entrepreneurship education
- Cross-cultural comparative studies in social entrepreneurship
- Research challenges in social entrepreneurship
