# In a live interview, Professor Paul Romer explains why he is skeptical of the idea of a 12-hour work week

And there are a lot more people in jobs than in school, so... employment is a very important potential source of new skills and new capabilities... We should be aiming to make sure everybody's in some kind of a job and aim for jobs which are good at teaching people to take on new responsibilities."
