Excerpt from [The New York Times](http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/30/upshot/radical-solution-to-challenge-of-corporate-taxes.html?hpw&rref=&_r=0) -- "In 2011, [Aswath Damodaran](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/aswath-damodaran), who teaches finance at New York University, found that biotech and drug companies on average paid corporate tax rates under 6 percent, while some companies whose profits come from unmovable stuff — like integrated petroleum firms and electric utilities — paid over 30 percent."
