The study, from New York University professor [Arun Sundararajan](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/arun-sundararajan) and research scientist Samuel Fraiberger, analyzed data from two years of transactions provided by Getaround, a peer-to-peer car rental startup."
