# Prof. Jonathan Haidt's research on liberals, conservatives and morality is highlighted

In his now famous research, New York University’s [Jonathan Haidt](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/jonathan-haidt) interviewed hundreds of people and surveyed tens of thousands more about their moral biases. He told outlandish stories (one involved a family eating its dog) and gauged his subjects’ immediate moral reactions. The differences were stark."
