# Prof. Nicholas Economides discusses the likelihood of a Greek bankruptcy

Excerpt from [Bloomberg](http://media.bloomberg.com/bb/avfile/News/Surveillance/vFR3i2azI5Q8.mp3) -- "The problem is that the Europeans, at the time that they had a chance to make a deal with the previous coalition government... When they had the chance, they didn't really do it... and then the extreme left gets elected and now it's very hard to make a deal. Greece has a good chance of going to bankruptcy, to actually not able to pay its loans in the near future, the next few weeks."
