# Professor Aswath Damodaran discusses Lyft's future

Lyft is currently in about 150 U.S. cities. 'I don't think Lyft wants to or can,' become a global ride service, said [Aswath Damodaran](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/aswath-damodaran), a professor of finance at New York University's Stern School of Business. 'It is a company with much smaller ambitions.'"
