# Professor Edward Altman comments on earnings growth at private, middle-market companies based on the Golub Capital Altman Index he co-created

He said there’s a high rate of correlation between the Golub index and public company performance, suggesting big companies will report weaker growth during the third-quarter earnings season, which begins this week."
