There is also the issue that the language is no longer taught in schools. 'Very few folks are learning COBOL,' said [Navin Manglani](https://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/navin-manglani), who is a professor of technology at the NYU Stern School of Business. 'But as long as legacy systems stay around, there will always be a need for COBOL programmers.'"
