# Professor Nouriel Roubini discusses the impact of Federal Reserve policies on the Japanese yen

Excerpt from [Bloomberg](http://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2016-04-08/roubini-abe-is-bluffing-on-consumption-tax-hike) -- "I would say that part of the yen's strength, and is also the same thing with the euro, has to do with what's going on with the United States. The Fed has gone very dovish. They've now signaled that they're going to hike only, at best, twice a year. Even some Fed governors were talking down the dollar."
