# Professor Nouriel Roubini is interviewed about his views on the global economy

Excerpt from the [Economic Times](http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/opinion/interviews/india-is-doing-a-number-of-things-well-says-american-economist-nouriel-roubini/articleshow/50769126.cms) -- "Advanced and emerging economies are slowing because of macro imbalances, financial excesses, debt and leverage, lack of structural reform and aging populations. Emerging economies are going to grow at 4-5% compared with 5-6% earlier. This is a new 'abnormal' for the global economy. This will continue for a few years with maybe bright spots here and there but they would be exceptions as there are more downside risks than upside risks in the global economy."
