# Professor Vasant Dhar shares insights on the legal and regulatory challenges firms face with the implementation of AI

For example, transportation regulators might determine that since autonomous vehicles would save 20,000 lives a year, the technology is worthwhile for society. 'But for insurance markets to emerge, we might need to consider regulation that would cap damages for errors,' he says."
