1 Stern Stories February 9, 2019 New Langone MBA students marked the beginning of their Stern journey by attending Langone LAB: Spring 2019 Orientation >

To kick off their first semester as members of the NYU Stern community, incoming Langone Part-time MBA students arrived on campus for [Langone LAB](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admissions/part-time-mba-nyc/academics/langone-lab-orientation), an orientation for Stern’s working professional students held on February 9. Stern’s newest group of MBAs were welcomed by Dean [Raghu Sundaram](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/experience-stern/about/leadership/nyu-stern-dean-raghu-sundaram), Dean of Students Conor Grennan, Stern administrators and more as part of orientation.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to share why they chose Stern and what they hope to gain from their educational experience. As a key theme of LAB, they also reflected on their recent journey as an intersection of their personal and professional lives.

The new class witnessed how Stern can help establish a strong network of classmates, alumni, faculty and administrators for years to come. “I love the idea of expanding my network into industries I'd never come across in my day-to-day life,” said MBA student Stephanie Curran. “I hope to become a more well-rounded individual and participate in multiple new adventures here at Stern.”
