## About Katharina Weghmann

Dr. Katharina Weghmann advocates for business as a force for good, focusing on how organizations strengthen integrity and earn trust. She brings more than 20 years of experience across business and academia, advising senior leaders, companies, and intergovernmental organizations on corruption, fraud, conduct and culture, human rights, and sustainability, and translating research into practice. Most recently, she was a Partner at EY, where over nearly a decade she built the firm’s Ethics Advisory business within Assurance, scaled it internationally, and led it globally.

Whistleblowing has been a central focus of her work since the 2008 financial crisis. Her doctoral dissertation examined the experiences of whistleblowers in the financial sector, and she has continued to contribute through research, policy engagement, and advisory work in the US and Europe. Since 2012, she has taught at universities and graduate schools in Europe and New York City. Katharina currently serves on the Supervisory Board of Witten/Herdecke University and the Board of Trustees of the Reinhard-Mohn-Institute for Responsible Leadership in Germany and was appointed to the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Good Governance (2025-2027). She holds a Doctor of Education and a Master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Business School Lausanne.
