Nick Gibbons joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting in 2022. He is currently a Quantitative Researcher at Hudson River Trading, where he applies deep expertise in equity research, financial reporting, and data-driven analysis to the development of systematic investment strategies.

Professor Gibbons is a forensic accounting veteran and seasoned investment researcher whose experience spans both qualitative and quantitative roles at leading investment firms, including Two Sigma, Norges Bank Investment Management, and Citadel, where he led quant forensic research initiatives. He began his career in forensic accounting at Gradient Analytics and has since focused on translating complex financial reporting signals into actionable investment insights. He holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation.
